Groundbreaking Ceremony

The name Three Oaks Fellowship United Methodist Church comes from the three oak trees that grow on the property of our home in Hardy, Virginia near Smith Mountain Lake, located at the corner of Hardy and Gravel Hill Roads. The oak trees are positioned in the shape of a triangle, a symbol for the Trinity: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. As a small acorn grows year after year into a strong oak tree, our prayer is that God will grow Three Oaks Fellowship United Methodist Church, and its members, into strong witnesses for Jesus Christ. Our faith community is embarking on an exciting journey of discipleship.
